Patient Services provide support and answers
The American Cancer Society is dedicated to helping cancer survivors and their families maintain and improve their quality of life throughout the cancer journey by offering a variety of services:

Cancer Resource Network
After a cancer diagnosis, patients and their families are full of questions but sometimes short on answers. The American Cancer Society's trained cancer experts are available to talk to patients and caregivers day or night, 365 days a year. They can provide you with information about your diagnosis, questions to ask your doctor, treatment information, insurance advice, and lists of resources in or near your own community, from support groups to free rides to treatment and free lodging near cancer treatment centers. Call 1-800-ACS-2345 or visit www.cancer.org, and let us ease your cancer journey.

Reach to Recovery provides one-on-one support to women who have a concern about breast cancer. Specially-trained breast cancer survivors offer information and encouragement - and provide reassurance that breast cancer is a disease that can be beaten.

At HOME provides approved basic medical equipment to people with cancer who are uninsured or underinsured. The program, which offers home care items such as hospital beds, wheelchairs, commodes and walkers, is not intended to replace coverage provided by private insurance, Medicare or Medicaid.

Look Good…Feel Better uses trained cosmetologists to teach people going through treatments how to deal with some appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment using make-up, wigs and scarves.

Man to Man offers education and support for men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Smoking cessation quitlines provide information, assessments for smokers who are ready to quit, and counseling services. Through referrals and promotion, the American Cancer Society supports statewide smoking cessation quitlines that are funded with tobacco settlement dollars. For more information on the quitline in your state call 1-877-270-STOP.
